Back in February, I broke my tractor's front axle sheering both the center supports off of the axle housing and destroying the ring and pinion gears. The front pilot shaft was the only thing holding the front axle from falling out!

Welding a Broken Tilting RAM from a tractor three Point Hitch (EP 401)
I had initially disagreed with @ferddiubaldo4324. However, being the open minded person that I am and never one to think I have ALL (just most - smile) of the answers, I tried his method as described. His description of hand placement (3 point grip w/left hand) provides a very steady and controlled movement of the blade as you slowly move it against the wheel. I got very good and uniformed results with less effort and none of the spray of sparks while standing in front of the machine vs. to the side as had been the case. Additionally, the machine (Bradley S81-3) "DID" have stickers advising user to stand in front of machine (facing Bradley logo), when in use AND to use the "reverse" (counter-clockwise) direction of the wheel when sharpening from the left side of the sharpener (right-hand blade). Therefore, rotation should cause sparks to shoot out the bottom and NOT out the top. While most knives are always sharpened by moving steel away from the edge as to "part" it, manufacturer's stickers indicate moving steel toward the blade's edge. From now on, will be using the method outlined by @ferddiubaldo4324 and recommended by the manufacturer.

Great video. Got an old outboard with controls and this answered SO many questions for me.
I think you have a few screws loose.
I'm dealing with the same issue, thanks for the tip! Love that you show the process, I'll follow the second take not the first lol!
Smile, I show my fails as well as my triumphs. Once you learn what you need to do it is pretty straight-forward to square up your container.
Looking at a H 90 , seem to be about same shape, runs good, very useable, please give me a ballpark value.
I've been wondering that myself and your area matters as well. With everything working, 20K or more. Bill it out at $220/Hr right now.
G
Thank you sir. The little screw came off today, and I was lucky enough not to lose it. I think I’ll use red “loktite” to keep it there. I had no idea where it went!!
Not a bad idea, but maybe blue Locktite in case you change out your bar.
Hi, I have been using that sharpener for over 15 years, you have it set up 90 degrees to the right in the wrong orientation. You should be facing the Bradley logo with your feet placed at 45 degree angle. Hold the non sharpening end of the blade with your right hand and the back side of the sharpening end with your left hands thumb, middle finger against the wing side with your forefinger pressing down from the top of the blade, your fingers should be in a 3 point stance and then moving the blade with a smooth front to back stroke. For your blades the wheel should grind and sparks toward the middle of the grinding wheel ( to the right). Walker Mowers have both a right and left turning blades so that the left turning blades are sharpened on the left side of the grind wheel and right turning blades are sharpened on the right side of the grind wheel turning toward the middle of the grind wheel, switch hands as described earlier.
The blades on my Ferris turn the same direction.
Your fingernails make me feel stupid. Thanks. I gave yhou a like.
Glad I could help!
Great video Eric. I have this exact model which needed a tune up. I cleaned the carb and it still takes forever to start and surges. Would this repair help me?
Likely it would.
@@MinnesotaEric Thanks did this and now it won't start!. I have cleaned the carb a few times and I am wondering what I am missing here. Maybe I missed an orrfice on the carb? Any other suggestions? Do I need to adjust the rope coil?
Do you have spark and fuel? Try spraying some starting fluid into the airbag, if the mower coughs, then you know you have a fuel or carburetor issue.
Thanks man
No problem
explains why my saw would not keep chain tension , bought the same kit , what is the square aluminum bar for , and thanks for the vid
I do not recall but perhaps a guide? Seems to me since the kit is for a number of models, you may have some spare parts left over but sadly, I do not remember.
Thank you
You're welcome
Never use anything in it, when you torque it you are actually unscrewing the outside half. The dead blow inside is not the worst idea though
I suppose that can happen, but as a tech knowing the torque on the retaining nut is what, 250 ft-pounds and the spider is 290 ft-pounds and both are also held by 620 Locktite, it would take something weird to start to unscrew the clutch and a guy would see it if it were to happen. That said, I know you work on these a lot more than myself and image that you have found improperly assembled drive clutches.
@@MinnesotaEric I see a whole lot and they back off on their own on the vehicle a lot too, very common to have a spider nut and spider back off. Polaris uses a electric impact to install at factory, no holding it
FINALLY! Straight dope from a guy who does this daily! Thanks, Eric!

Hello Eric. Did you ever get the hydraulic and transmission pressure gauges to work? One of your videos shows a line with a quick disconnect that was not connected. That might have been the transmission pressure line.
Hello Eric. I’m probably 3 years late but the equipment dealer here in New Hampshire recommended I use TO-4 10wt oil in the hydraulic system and the transmission. I bought a 55 gal drum because the machine holds so much. Thanks for the info on machinery trader parts lookup.

Lol welding by that battery not a bright idea by any means
Mike, you did see that I had a 1/4" copper plate between the battery and the box I was welding, right?
I know this isn’t the right video but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your Hough pay loader brakes “series” more than I can put into words. I recently started working on an old Clark Michigan loader that came with our property and although not apples to apples, just the basic understanding of how things work is priceless. Googling and sifting through page after page on forums is a nightmare so to see visually is amazing. I just wanted to let you know!!!
Thanks for letting me know. I'm not done working on my Hough H80B. If everything goes according to plan, I'm going to lift up the engine bonnet, and repair all of the wiring and redo the ether start system as well as add a 24V heated fuel/water separator.
Hello Eric. Glad I found this video. I just bought a 1971 h80. There should be a guide on the tilt bucket cylinder that tells you where the bucket is. At least mine does. What’s that ticking noise when you accelerate. Exhaust leak??! Good luck with it. And finding parts for it.
Thanks for watching! That bucket guide on my machine is long gone. On the other hand it didn't take me long to get used to the "feel" of the bucket as my machine has any number of jobs under its belt now. That ticking noise is likely a crack in the exhaust somewhere. I'm not too worried about it at this point. Parts wise, SP Smith is where to call. Also if you enter the part number in parts search on MachineryTrader, it will show who has NOS. Good luck!
I need that axle kioti ds 4510, 2014-2016 model
You might want to call the importer and also call all of the service managers of larger dealers so see if somebody has a parts tractor. Also, not all dealer parts prices are the same. I got a discount from one dealer for buying everything from them. The center support looks like mine (and may very well be the same part). To assemble You'll need a hydraulic press and a dial indicator that reads in 10,000 of an inch (not the one in the picture in this video) to do the gear lash and convert it (the ring gear lash is done by measuring on the axle and converting it with math so you need a very accurate dial indicator) and either a lot of experience or a fish scale for pinion pressure. I can walk you through it since your axle looks just like my own on my NX series.
Watching your video you noticed the high speed plastic piece wasn’t in the hole when reassembled before u got it . U put it back in the hole and commented on it then when u reassembled it with out of the hole again . The control box is also missing the screw and small retainer needed to hold that in place .
Your catching that mistake is one of those editing issues, I’m afraid. I used the video footage I had because when I realized my mistake, I did not shoot new video. As a result, the error stayed in with the original footage that I had and I didn't call the error out that you just noticed.
I love this video and products. Thanks!!! Tell us how they worked.
My rear cap is vented. Will using a metal non-vented cap create a problem?
While this video is Kioti NX-sewries specific, Kioti uses this same trans fill cap on other machines. My Kioti NS6010 tractor has up on top of the transmission/tank housing a vent that looks something like a rubber shepherd's hook. If your tractor has a vented cap and no other vent, then, don't do what I showed in this video-although I'd like to know what model of tractor you have.
@@MinnesotaEric yes, mine has a rubber hook shaped fill cap. It's a Bobcat CT4050HST, which is the same as a Kioti DK5020H
This is a disaster and I love it lol.
DIY for the win! Smile.
@@MinnesotaEric As long as it works it's a job well done haha.
The funny thing is, as a trained Army helicopter tech (67Y30) and a formally trained auto tech, at the time I made this video I was unaware that marine wiring tries (tries, mind you) to follow marine color coding for their wires. So on a pump, the brown is hot for bilge pumps and black is ground. A guy keeps learning as well go along. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Had this happen to my 2013 ford f 150 lariat. Went to a dealership and after receiving a call about a week later my truck was ready for pickup. Went to pick up my truck and was hit for a bill of $1267.00. Was told ignition key lock was bad and had to be replaced also the starter had to be replaced. Wow still in shock!
When it comes to most column work, a guy most likely needs a real mechanic. But given how Ford uses their center on the key position, a guy might get away with my fix-it. The overarching takeaway is don’t hang any weight from the ignition key as replacing an ignition cylinder is better done with a mechanic’s skill set like mine.
@MinnesotaEric so you don't have to rekey the new tumbler
That looks very promising for my 2011 Lariat. Will check this weekend. What flashlight was that? Looks handy. Guessing it has a magnetic end
How’d it turn out?
BTW, the little flashlight is a Nicron Worklight. I got all of mine from Amazon but they are available elsewhere for less. I like the Nicron's better than the Nemo flashlight because the Nicron's are smaller, offer just as much light, take AAA batteries rather than AA batteries and the magnet sticks to rusty things much, much better.
@@MinnesotaEricwatched many videos and this has been fixed on 2009 and newer. Have a 2010 lariat and I am struggling to figure it out. No power mirrors. No foot pedal adjustment. Seat won't do anything. Checked fuses all good.
@@dannunyas5642 You need to open up the wiring harness and look at the three-way common power junction. I don't have Ford's really expensive diagnostic manual, or I'd tell you the location.
I gave mine a swift kick and it seems to fix the issue for now...
Your remark made me smile. When teaching your fridge whose boss doesn’t work anymore, circle around. Smile.
Why would you buy a ford
And yet you watched a video about fixing Fords. Stick around and I’ll post videos about fixing every brand and marke.
So, can you use a scissor lift trailer, with ultra legs installed?

Looking at a mckee snow-lander 1101 any idea what year that would be? What difference from yours? Thanks
It is a bigger blower than my 720 as the 1101 is 101” wide. Like mine it uses a 27” drum but the drum is deeper than my 720. It was made for tractors with 85-125hp with 540 PTOs and is a Cat 2 or Cat 3 attachment that weighs 1700 pounds. There is an operators manual for sale on eBay right now if you search for McKee 1101.
Not a good idea putting you air over the end of a hose with high air pressure coming out of it air get in your blood and you can die.NUMBER ONE NO,NO.
Lenard, if it was super high pressure, I'd be onboard with your thinking, but I had the regulator set at 90psi for the shop air so I could diagnose the problems and that air pressure was stepped down due to various leaks. Keep watching this series because I came up with a neat way to make the brakes work in this old gal. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2012 800hd and did same thing, wouldn't even turn over. Bought new battery thought everything was good until it hit 32 degrees and nothing. Threw in a jump pack and nothing, selenoid won't even click. Thought was break pedal sensor so I jumped that out and still Nothing. Seen this video and I'm buying the new updated relays. Thanks so much man. Hope this fixes my problem Where did you get the updated relays?
From what you're telling me, I think you have either a bad connection at your starter relay or a bad starter relay. You can test your starter relay by jumping it (I use a remote starter tool that is made for this kind of thing). Also, if the starter is not turning over, it is possible that everything is working, but the starter itself is weak.
It was a bad selenoid and a bad break pedal sensor. Crazy 2 for 1 lol
I wondered about your starter solenoid but decided to lump that issue in with the "starter." Good for you to puzzle the problem out. FWIW, I keep stock on Polaris brake pressure sensors because they go out regularly.
@@MinnesotaEric yea I'm bypassing that pos and wiring it to a switch. Not it'll be steal proof haha. Great video btw and thanks for responding
Oops my bad - You did mention lock brace, heard it second time through keep up the good videos !
Nice video - I believe could see a safety brace on loader ram when you pulled off the grill guard, would help out a lot of first time owners to show placement of that safety device before getting under loader assembly, responded to farm accident concerning loader hose fail - luckily he only suffered broken leg. Have you added a brush screen later to protect grill from branches?
The rule is never trust hydraulics. From a bit of rectangle tubing, I cut out a hydraulic ram sized slit on just one side so the brace when fitted has the ram in the middle. once placed, and the tractor off, I boom down the loader so that the brace takes the weight of the loader an is wedged in. I did not add a brush guard. If I was to do that I think I'd cut one out on my plasma table.
What is the gismo called that fits into the corner of the container and where can I get one.
Thanks for watching! In the description of this video I have an Amazon Associates Link to the container booster. If you purchase through my link it costs you nothing extra and I get a little money-which is greatly appreciated! Good luck with your own container.
I was about to ask about removing the roof VS the headliner to run larger wire for a front light bar and your video popped up. Good content at just the right time! How bad is it getting the little red handle to pop back on when you put the roof back on?
It just pushes back on.
What can you do if the battery is dead and you can’t find the key?
Can you access the inside of the lock? If so I have a video explaining how to replace the battery as well as a tip for where you really should write the default code for the lock.
No, unfortunately we are locked out of the home.
Do you still have that rake?
I do still have the rake.
@@MinnesotaEric have you still been using it much?
@@amandadavis9726 not as much as I’d like as my tractor has been broken for various reasons on and off and when fixed I’ve been off elsewhere. I’d buy the rake again if that helps you. I think EA has this video on their website.
@@MinnesotaEric I ordered the rake a couple of months ago. Just waiting on it to get finished and delivered.
How and in what way? Skidloaders and skid steers are HST. Many midsize wheel loaders these days are HST. Everybody who has ram both recognizes that HST is easier to do loader work with. So tell me how I’m full of it, as you say.
Where can I buy the capacitor?
If you turn the power off of your taco pump, pop the cover off of it, there is a part number on your capacitor, something like MKP5TRJC (Taco Part Number 007-002RP). Look that up in a search engine. It used to be these capacitors were pretty inexpensive, but how they're $40-80. I got my parts out of Suppyhouse.com, but I'd look for less expensive equivalents. www.supplyhouse.com/Taco-007-002RP-Taco-Capacitor-for-Select-003-008-Models?srsltid=AfmBOoqVZd_94IT-bt8GHx3Ym7Q8a5QPQuhkC6i6AXY6411iX1AuiQs_Kck
